Hey Crystal, Thanks for reaching out. 1. Ideally, yes, we would construct at the same time, but I'm not opposed to doing one at a time. Got it. Certainly more efficient to do it that way if budget allows! 2. I'd rather the floorplans be different. Unique little homes. Think tiny home version of Homewood... but like the Homewood of 1995, not todays weird McMansions. Music to my ears! Could do 6 unique homes or 3 designs that get mirrored (reversed) for the other 3 and change up the colors. Just a thought to save on drawing cost. My typical framework on drawing fees is broken into 2 steps. (Conceptual Drawings & Construction Documents) I charge $175/hr for conceptual (hand drawn) drawings. (I'd budget 2 hrs per design). Once approved, I create formal drawings in AutoCAD that can be permitted with and used for construction for $8/sf. (ex: 300sf x $8 = $2400) I've already gathered some ideas/inspo photos that might even negate the need for the conceptual part. Is this within the realm of what you were anticipating spending? Certainly want to make this happen so let me know if this structure is prohibitive and we can re-evaluate. 3. The Reception Hall would be last. We will construct the outdoor chapel at the same time as the tiny homes. Sounds great! 4. I have talked to 1 builder (who recommended you to me). I will likely get at least 2 more quotes before I begin. I have a person who I believe would be a fantastic fit! He lives close to the property, has a wealth of knowledge and a broad network in that area, and is just a great person. Have worked with him for years and he's interested in learning more about this. Feel free to give him a call! Eric Strickland (205)306-9678
